Yes but once again: Net gain

Nobody's disputing that drinking water with caffeine in it results in hydration. We're questioning your assertion that:

caffine drinks tend to be much better at hydration then just water alone.

Asking on the internet just results in anthropomorphic ponies babbling about chakras.

Why does that bother you? If I'd talked about intracranial hypertension, or warned about cerebral hyperemia due to overperfusion, you'd probably have taken that seriously even though I'm guessing you probably don't know what any of those words mean.

Why does the word "chakra" make you so dismissive?

Asking for medical advice on internet is extremely poor idea.
This.
Oh, come on. This is Bay 12! We even have at least one actual doctor!
I'm sure we've got quite a few doctors here.  Some of them may even be medical doctors.  I'd still be wary of taking medical advice posted here unless it pertains to sewing dwarves back together with adamantine thread.  Even if we all posted proofs of licences, we don't even know the patient's age, let alone his medical history, family history, or blood pressure.

Knowledge of technical terminology is not necessarily indicative of rigorous medical education and training.  For example, while I am familiar with those terms and can use them correctly, I understand that as a layman to the medical community I am unqualified for diagnosing things that would make someone worried enough to ask for advice.  I'm dismissive of the word "chakra" because while there's certainly a place for mysticism in modern society and it can arguably have a positive effect on well-being, it can never serve as a substitute for scientifically-grounded medicine.

Scientifically grounded medicine can include placebos, which can often end up with an individual curing themselves beyond what all was scientifically thought possible.

But not to derail the thread further; sounds like the original poster has pressure headaches. I'll get them a lot if storms come rolling by, and will often know if it's going to rain later in a day without watching the weather or the skies due to it. Best bet is to take some aspirin or headache medicine of your choice (ibuprofen or acetaminophen work well) and go about whatever you're doing. I keep a decent supply of one of these on me for the days that my headaches become ridiculously unbearable, but even some light relaxation/meditation techniques can help with the minor ones.

Yeah, I recently found out the cause of all the heat around here was due to a huge high pressure system that basically decided to stall over the central US. The headaches started around the time the heat issues did, sooooo, seems the most likely.

I just put my legs on my bed and lay my head down on the floor.

That usually makes my headaches go away, if not outright recede.

I have not seen anyone mention the possibility of caffiene withdrawal.  I'll touch on that later.

Talk to your doctor before you try any of these things after #1 - because I don't know your medical conditions.

1) Drink more water.
2) Take a children's dose of allergy medicines, and see if it helps.  If it does, try adult doses.
3) Clean out your ears with very warm, but not hot water.  Some folks can build up heavy wax deposits without ever realizing it, and it will eventually cause headaches.  Do NOT use cotton swabs unless you have a deaf wish. (pun intended)  Basically, a steady, weak stream of very warm water in the ear will melt the wax and float it out of the ear channel.
4) If you have recently stopped drinking caffiene, start drinking caffiene, and wean yourself off it slowly.  Caffiene withdrawals vary in intensity based on how heavy a user you were.  Caffiene expands blood vessels.  Go off caffiene, and your blood vessels shrink, reducing bloodflow, which can generate a LOT of pain.
5) An asprin a day will help thin your blood, which can help blood flow, not to mention simply reducing pain.
6) Soy based Lecethin will help clear your arteries of deposits by pumping up your HDL levels.

There are other possibilities, from pinched nerves to cancer, to all kinds of things inbetween, but those sorts of things need to be identified by doctors, not some sort of internet kook.

How did I miss the existence of this thread?
(Don't attempt to answer that.  Down that path lies ... well I was going to say madness but you all run towards madness as if it was made from chocolate and puppies.  Just forget I said anything.)

Heya everyone, I have been watching this thread, although I forgot about it recently and just wanted to let you all know, I found out what the headaches were, they were just my glasses. And back when I got them when I was just a kid they did tell me to not wear them all the time, so I guess it's just started to catch up to me! I haven't had a headache since I stopped wearing em, so I think that's pretty solid proof. Thanks everyone!

And if anyone else wants to use the thread for headache identification I don't mind if this carries on. Just gettin that out there.

You have too much blood for the volume of your blood vessels. I prescribe leeching.
