I just went on my first adventure and as I'm writing this my game is paused and I'm fighting off an ambush of bogeys. I just try to land "normal strike-fairly square" hits until they open up their defences apparently. Lower body+square hit+charge seems to kill them right away, because I've superhuman strenght. I had to fight them beacuse I can't run fast enough, and my gold coin treasure is something I won't throw away . Headstrikes also seem to be quite effective, but wings etc just get scratched by my experience. The fact that I'm in a bottleneck helps alot, and now there's only two of them left. I've lost fingers though, and I'm bruised all over. MY tip is: get full armor ASAP. And another: if you're slower, don't try running! I did try and got about 20 bruising strikes in a split second.
