It must be in Canada then, so we can see Descan make out with people.

They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

If you do wind up making this happen, you should probably set an itinerary of sorts, so we don't meet up and go, "So...yeah. Butcherin' kittens." And then things get awkward.

Itinerary:

5:00-5:30: Introductions, training of social skills.
5:30-7:30: Attend Party at nearest statue.
7:30-8:30: Drink.
8:30-8:35: Start to do something productive.
8:35-9:30: Drink some more.
9:30-10:30: Eat hoary marmot tallow biscuits.
10:30-12:00: Butcher kittens.
12:00-8:00: Sleep on nearest available horizontal surface.

It's sort of half meetup and half LARP.

If I remember correctly, jc6036 is from somewhere in Ohio, but I haven't seen him in awhile.  So there is another potential person.

As for me, I'm too far away here in Minnesota.

Yeah, that's something I've been thinking about, I figure we're probably just going to sit around playing a bunch of games all day long. I'm really not sure though. It'd probably be cool if someone brought along a console with some multi player games, and then up to 4 people can mess around on that... I kind of want to get a magicka game going, because I bought this game ages ago but to date I have never ever managed to get a decent multi player game going that wasn't with random internet douchebags.

We could also delve into the realm of board games, I don't own any particularly interesting ones, but I've heard settlers of catan is interesting, and I'm open to suggestions for other board games... Or hey, we could run a game of Dungeons & Dragons, or something of that variety if someone is willing to be DM/GM, I have never been a part of genuine PnP tabeltop roleplay where we actually sat around a table...

There's also movies, we could watch an obscure movie. I've never seen the Rocky Horror Picture show, but I've been told it's something you have to see, and we could livestream a bit with a webcamera and show all the people who couldn't make it what's going on.

Oh my gosh there's so much potential to do stuff I've never done before, and always wanted to do if I had friends that were cool or geeky enough to do it with me.

I've also been thinking, I might (and this is a big might) be able to host it here at my parents house, if I can get them to agree which is a difficult proposition. I may have to tempt them with something in exchange, and I'm thinking there's a very strong chance they'll say no since you're all weird internet people and they're a bit phobic of internet people.

If need be, I think that it'd be within the realm of possibility to reserve a back room at a restaurant, or something of that nature. Isn't that what they did at the last official meet-up?

It's certainly a possibility, but I really don't have the money to pay for it, and I kind of wanted to give people who wanted to stay overnight a roof over their heads.

I could run my PnP game, but I'd have to finish more of the rules to make it coherent enough to play without me making shit up on the spot...

Hmmmmm... even a north western meetup would probably be too far away. Northern Nevada is basically away from everything. This is taking into account the slighest chance I could get my parents to let me go on a trip to meet some people I met on the internet :=\.

Ohio sounds far too exotic for a Pennsylvanian who's never really ventured outside of the tri-state area (not including Ohio). The farthest west I've been is like Lancaster of something :D. Plus, I have next to no money, and I've never driven across an entire state by myself before (although it's something I'd like to, even across the whole country). So yeah, have fun at your DF party.

I grew up in Cleveland! In Berea, in fact. I am there now actually, visiting my parents. I go to Ohio State and I live most of the year in Columbus. Do you have a Steam name Pnx?

I do in fact, but I don't use it much, in fact my brother uses it more than I do.

I actually kind of want to go to OSU, but I there's been some things keeping me from going, like having no idea what to study, and the fact that my nemesis went to OSU, and I didn't want to go to the same college as her.
