Hang on there, common sense! You aren't going nowhere! You are sticking by, thick and thin! Don't even think about leaving! Besides, where are you gonna go, huh?!

... Great, you're chewing out aspects of your personality. This is just awesome evidence for the "I'm not insane" camp.

[14] You back away relatively quietly, and close the door. [9] At the end, there is a slight creak. [20] The thing stops eating and grunts. Footsteps toward the door... You need to act now!

Common sense is filing a protest with management.

Back to work in the meantime! A creature that size probably won't be stopped by a door for very long, so let's slide something heavy in front of the door, and make haste from the hotel.

Common sense is heavily against acting out our Heroic Gunslinging zombie blasting fantasies here. Literally, we've only fired the thing like once in the last three months.

Yes, slide something heavy and drench the area in a strong smelling liquid if we have time don't get any one our selves it doesn't have eyes so must rely on Smell and hearing. Then make the Nigerian Olympic running team look like turtles.

It doesn't know we exist so far and we'd only attract more of them.
