World_gen help

I am not sure if if is possible but I am trying to make a world where the generated land will have cliffs over the oceans / lakes and hills (or land with 3 to 6ish Z levels of variation) around it.  I have been fiddling with the world_gen for hours and nothing I am doing is coming close.

In the advanced world-gen parameters, for height put in the maximum x- and y- variance and turn off periodic eroding of extremes. When looking for an embark location press tab until you have the slope display and look for high numbers. If that doesn't work you may need to gen a world with PerfectWorld to get better control over the heightmap. Set the noise generator to maximum on all parameters (weight, feature size, smoothness).

Thanks for the reply.  I will give that a try. If not I think you are right in that perfectworld is the way to go.
