I really like the way Joel reacts to things, for example:  The last of us:  Joel gets a rebar pole through possibly his liver or something.   Passing out, collapsing, fading hearing, slowly losing the ability to walk.
Tomb raider reboot: Lara gets a rebar pole in the same place.   RUNNING, JUMPING AND OTHERWISE BEING COMPLETELY UNAFFECTED BY THE FACT A POLE IMPALED YOUR SPLEEN!

Right, Dramatic effect. Problem is that Joel turns into Lara after getting one antibiotic injection and a weeks rest under a rather thin blanket in the winter of at least -1c(dunno Fahrenheit)

One of my favorite PS3 games. With a good ending.

As someone who has listened, and seen my brother watching, people going on about this game, why should i care? Please give a balanced response, there hasn't been much information on the actual game so far. I'm a little doubtful about the story from what I've seen. For starters, 20 years is a bloody long time.

Funny child dies due to asshole army.
Twenty years pass.
Tess.
Joel and Tess have to smuggle Ellie out of the zone.
SPOILERS BEYOND THIS POINT!   SPOILERS THAT I WON'T POST!

So is it Walking Dead-lite with a grizzled, culturally safe, pigment lacking protagonist?

I was just informed of the ending. From the sounds of it... they played it straight?
