Yeah that's a known bug with the site finder unfortunately.

One thing I have noticed is that after embark, if you go to the Stones menu, all the types of flux stone that are present at your embark site will be enabled. So if you don't want to expend any effort on a fortress without flux, you can just embark, check the Stones menu, and abandon if nothing's green.

If your going to go that route it would be better to just use "prospect all" in DFHack at the embark screen and check to see if there is any flux stones. It'll even tell you the general layer area that the stones are on while it's at it.

It would be brutally difficult and probably won't work. In other words, it's absolutely dwarven!
Cataclysm: Dark Days Ahead - A fun zombie survival rougelike that I'm dev-ing for.

I've noticed that disabling aquifers can disable the 'flux' notification in the biome information, although it doesn't change the composition of the site.

I am trying to make chickens lay bees as eggs. So far it only produces a single "Tame Small Creature" when a hen lays bees.
Honestly at the time, I didn't see what could go wrong with crowding 80 military Dwarves into a small room with a necromancer for the purpose of making bacon.
