From what I hear, there's going to be 40 card unlocks for each deck, and that's nuts! That's double what it was in M12, and it'll allow something that the fans having been rabbling for: greater versatility and creativity in deck creation. It's not completely customization, but it's the biggest step towards something usable they've conceded to us in the longest time.

Just thought to jump here and mention a wonderful program that allows you play MTG over internet (for free) called Cockatrice. The card database is updated trough Gatherer, so it includes every card in there.

The program itself doesn't understand the rules of MTG though, so you will have to know them in order to play. This also means that it is possible to encounter morons having ten same cards on deck or just playing cards randomly without using mana, but during the ~2 months I played there I never encountered such people. Of course there were some rules disputes and newbies playing against the rules, but at least every dispute I saw was always solved in civilized manner.

The community is reasonably big* so you can expect to find games rather quickly.

I am not sure about the legality of the program, so I'm not going to link it here, but you can just find it via google.

*At the moment I'm writing this post there are bit over 500 players online.

With DotP M13 just around the corner, I thought I'd hop onto M12 for one last hurrah:

As you all should know, beating up Garruk is a national pastime. This is just me going nuts with Mirrorworks, just to see how many different permanents could fit onto the screen all at once. Turns out: Quite a few, given quite a lot of overlap though. I managed to capture this screenie just before the game crashed, as it's wanton to do.
