Primogeniture is bad secession.  Don't worry about holding all the titles in one person, go out and get more titles.  Once you have a king title that second sons will just be vassals to the first.  Even if you have multiple king titles the first son will inherit all of them.  This way you will have a large kingdom full of placated nobles instead of a small kingdom full of nobles who hate your guts.  It also lets you keep your sons unlanded until death.  This is essential because it lets you control dynastic marriages and education for your heirs and for their heirs.

Really? The last few times I did gavel kind I did indeed lose titles. My damn son inherited a titular title and became his own country.

I think only king titles clump with the first son, all other titles are shared equally.  I'm also relatively sure that gravekind only divides your titles among the first three eligible heirs, so it doesn't split things up that badly.  Plus, you can always give away titles to your prime heir while you're still alive.  You can't lose what you don't have.   

I like the style.  It's punchy.  You might elaborate a bit more on the wars (who leads the troops, make fun of the enemy commander, grip about how the terrain hates you, etc), but keep the style.
