Ending haunted fortress
« on: June 09, 2012, 10:16:16 am »

I have a slight problem. Two actually.

First and foremost. I have three dwarves haunting my fortress. Normally this isn't a problem, but because: a)I'm in a direct neighbourhood of two towers (no pun intended) I'm constantly swarmed by whatever the necromancers (who are ambushers) can find to rise from the death forcing me to use particle physics on anything dead and b)they're not my dwarves but ones that came as zombies or from the homeland.
This creates a funny situation where I don't have the bodies to lay to rest (and even if I did the dwarves tend to make a seperate tomb for every undead limb in my fort and making 2000 of them is not very  funny) and for some reason I can't engrave them on memorable slabs.

So the first thing. How can I put this guys to rest?
And second. Can I get my dwarves to stop creating seperate tombs for each undead body part?

dfhack has "tweak clearghostly" which does that.

Tried, but it didn't help. They're still there and clear-missing doesn't make them memorable (-_-). Were those two functions updated for the latsest release.
On a side note I'm playing with the civilization forge mod but that shuoldn't change how ghosts work.

Edit: Nevermind. Turns out you have to cursor over the ghost rather than being a global funtion.
Does anyone know how to remedy the other problem a.k.a. "one corpse in 50 coffins"?
