I just came back from I think 34.07 and wheelbarrows and mine carts where added and I have no idea how to use them. My questions are,
-What can they be used for?
-How do I use them?
-How efficient are they?
-How do you use them?
-Are they worth it?
If anyone can help me with this it would be greatly appreciated.

Minecarts are late game.

Wheelbarrows are a must, as stone boulders take AGES to haul now. A wheelbarrow hauls stones very quickly.

How do I use them though? I brought 5 with embark.

Dwarves will automaticly grab a wheelbarrow to haul stone. Stone will automaticly have ONE wheelbarrow assigned to the pile. So

You can still do mass stone dumps, but it's painfully slow.

Not really feasible, but you will find that you have much less stone now.
