Speaking of sunrises and booze, I wouldn't mind some tequila and orange juice.

This is Dwarf Fortress. Where torture, enslavement, and murder are not only tolerable hobbies, but considered dwarfdatory.

Working at Waffle House we came out with this "Waffle Sunrise" drink. It was a shot of cherry syrup, some oj and some lemonaid. I immediately went home and made some with Captain Morgans. Good as hell.

In fact I'd like the whole concept of mixed drinks amongst the dwarves. Or at least adding stuff to their booze. So Urist over here gets a good thought from Dwarven Rum, but a really good thought from dwarven rum with the juice of a plump helmet squeezed into it.

Dwarf Fortress - Bringing out the evil in people since 2006.
Somehow, that fills me more with dread than anticipation.  It's like being told that someone's exhuming your favorite grandparent and they're going to try to make her into a cyborg stripper.

Armok help you if you put anything that foams in your boozefall.  You'd have a drowning hazard that can climb z-levels.

So what kind of proof are we talking here?  if this stuff gets used as an alternative water source, is cleaning a wound with it more or less likely to result in infection?
*imagines Dwarven foam party*

'scuse me, I need to go poke out my mind's eye...

Certainly you could argue that DF is a lot like The Sims, only... you know... with more vomit and decapitation.
If you launch a wooden mine cart towards the ocean at a sufficient speed, you can have your entire dwarf sail away in an ark.

Why cannot that order to mix food, in the orders submenu, be extended to also include drink.
Mix food and drink

Its not like the names of stuff are not already scrolling off the page or anything.  Knutor

(Off-topic: more or less sunrise, from the looks of things, and if I can find a high-enough hill, nearby, I might be able to punch through the cloud-layer and get a half-decent view of the end of the Transit...)

Hope you managed to see it, I got to see it, untill I got kicked of the field by a field hockey team, but there will be many pictures online now.

Where I was was about 50-60 miles north of where the nearest decent break in the clouds was (on eastern horizon), at a guess.  Still, I'd been watching various feeds (mostly the NASA Edge one from Hawaii), for most of the night (our time), and my observing equipment was basically a jury-rigged pinhole camera/projector, so I probably wouldn't have gotten a better view of it IRL, anyway. ;)
