I posted this originally in the general discussion forum but I realized that this might be a better place to post about it.

Tales from the Fortress is a new site that allows you to share, read, rate and comment on stories from the world of dwarf fortress.
I'm currently working on a how to play section and implementing a section for longer stories.

Text, or background, or both?

I used the main colour of the bay12 website as a base for the colour scheme but that is a bit dark.

What do you think of the site besides that?

Just a little update

I've removed the upper limit on the length of stories and now you can put images in your stories using the [img] tags.

i hope, that your site will grow and that it becomes a good source for awesome df stories.
it would help the readability if you would make the text white. the contrast to the background is not enough, the way it now is.

What do you think of the font colour now?
It isn't white, because I hate the white on dark background thing toady uses for his blog and I'm trying to avoid the effect that that gives.

cant really see a change the colors from the twitter feed on the right side are good. for background and text.

How about now then? I've completely changed the design.

I will be implementing a theme chooser soon with the old theme, this theme and a wooden elf theme. (And maybe a microcline theme for people who hate their eyes.)
