We already have a Minecraft thread, I know, but this one is for sole discussion of the Tekkit mod.
If you don't know what it is, it adds all kinds of cool stuff, like machinery, electricity, and alchemy.
So yeah, just discuss tips, tricks, or something. I don't know.

Is this just Tekkit or also Technic?

In any case, a friend of mine has a Tekkit server that we play on. I can barely use it - the mods are so old that it's unbearable for me after playing Technic for a while. Having half of the mods not be installed correctly is also a bit of a deterrent.

Yeah, smartmoving is pretty cool. Why isn't it in Tekkit again? Seems to go well, seeing as it allows vent crawls (disclaimer: you can't crawl through two horizontal covers IN THE SAME VOXEL, but you can crawl on the voxel under it while under covers if that makes sense) and other awesome urban parkour-ish stuff.

Not a fan of smartmoving if it is what I think it is. Its a nice gimmick, but completely destroys challenges the terrain is supposed to give you.

Screw you, diving, crawling and a proper swimming animation is the movement skill that every minecrafter deserves.
However, the amount of minecraft threads on this forum is slowly multiplying, so could we please stop making them?
