Request: Could we get a 64bit Linux version please?

Getting it to work with 32bit libraries is a HUGE pain. It would be great if there was also a 64bit option that worked out of the box.

I second that. And there is nothing easier to build x86_64 binaries, as i686 ones are already automatically built.
