Webbing cages
« on: May 20, 2012, 07:44:47 pm »

How do you do so? A FB appeared in my caves, and I have had a caging system set up. But they avoid traps, if I'm correct, unless they are webbed. So how do I do so?

capture a GCS, don't tame it, make sure you have fortifications in between it and the room containing the cages, put a bait creature in aforementioned room. it will proceed to fire webs on the cages and near the creature, it will be unable to kill the creature, and now you have webed cage traps. Also make sure there is a raisable drawbridge inbetween the GCS and the fortifications so you can seal it off into a room where it can not shoot at your dwarves or the bait animal any more, after it has finished webbing the traps.
