Dorf Your Desktop Background!
« on: May 16, 2012, 11:34:14 pm »

I had an idea while I was playing around in Photoshop trying to make a suitably dwarfy background for my PC. A little competition. The goal is simple; edit your desktop background to have something in it that pertains to Dwarf Fortress! (IE paste a dwarf icon over the Dovahkiin's face.) I'm not asking you to keep it on as your permanent background or anything, (but if you do I salute you!) just share the dorfy monstrosity with the community. The more embarrassing the image the better! :P

The most absolutely dwarvenly wallpaper wins!

Clearly, this represents six side-by-side wheelbarrows, as indicated by the right half of the icon.  The left half indicates they are carrying babies with hats in these wheelbarrows.

Presumably, they are lining up to dump them into the baby furnaces.

This looks like fun!

*clicks Show Desktop, sees this*

... Well, that was easy!

(I have one DF background in my rotation. Someone is playing tricks on me.)

LOL
I archive my favorite quotes on my desktop.
It's a little low quality since it's been stretched and replaced so many times, but it still looks cool.
I had to take my computer into the shop a few months ago, and when I picked it back up, one of the guys said "Oh, so you're the guy who really likes Dwarf Fortress"
:D

So now all we've got to do is to put a couple of grannies into the LHC and smash them against each other at relativistic speeds. Lather, rinse, repeat until we got results.
