Stories of Gatalsil
« on: May 19, 2012, 12:36:45 pm »

I have decided to write the stories of all of my adventurers in Gatalsil in year 2, and hopefully later of a fortress. I have one demigod adventurer for each civilization, and will be writing each of their stories. This is more or less just practice writing for me, as I hope to do some succession stuff for both Fortress and Adventure mode. Doing adventures in year 2 is always a challenge, and I am fairly new to the game, so expect lots of END OF THE JOURNAL OF Human McAdventure in this thread.

The Journal of Inan Granitescorched

Midsummer of 2: After spending a year and a half understanding this new world, as most of us have, I have decided to start my adventure, which I hope will lead to many songs of my bravery. I have trained long and hard for such a journey, and I shall head out soon.

Woe is me today. It seems people have not been alive long enough to have troubles. I shall have to go find my own enemies.

It is night, and still there is no sign of a fight. I am beginning to wonder if it was a good idea to start this journey. There is a cackling in the distance, I suspect bogeymen. I have heard stories of such creatures, but I shall try my hardest, despite what the people say.

The Journal of Duto Shipact

Midsummer of 2: There have been tales of great adventure that have come to this town. I have decided to be in one of those tales, and my journey starts today. Great things will come of this.

As there seems to be no one willing to offer me a quest, I have decided to go hunting in order to hone my skills. It seems sad to me that I have no one to help, although I should rejoice that men have no need of me.

Hunting with only a sword is challenging work. Chasing animals is harder than it seems. I have seen many animals, but I have only slain four. There is a herd of rhinoceros in the distance, and I plan on having a good meal tonight.

Death will come to me swift! It seems I was not ready to challenge such a beast. As I fought it, it managed to bite off one of my feet. I am no longer able to walk. I have been slipping in and out of consciousness. The sun is setting on both the day and my life. Bogeymen will come and I have no means of stopping them.
