How can I catch a big fish marked as sea creature

I want to build Great Aquarium in my fortress, and I've embarked on the tropical ocean coast. According to this page - http://dwarffortresswiki.org/index.php/DF2012:Captured_live_fish - I have built some animal traps in my craftsdwarf workshop, and give my fisher (skill in fishing is 8) an order to "Capture live fish"
But for hours he catched only vermin-fish, such as seahorse, clownfish and bat ray. Is it possible to catch a creature-fish such as sharks, whales, manta ray or barracuda with an animal trap?

complete with a guide on how to trap large sea animals

basically you dig out areas near shore where you can place traps, let water in, capture, drain of water and then move the creatures to your aquarium. This means you'll likely need a way to get the creatures into the traps too. Most of it is explained in the first post somewhere. Don't mind the setting up of the balistae range, that is optional

The key is that -animal traps- are for vermin. And -cage traps- are for creatures.

You seem interested in water creatures.
