Children need clothes now????

Ok so i've been playing DF on and off for a few years, this is the first time i've ever seen Urist McNaked unhappy because she is naked. I made a shirt and dress but shes not picking it up, and i have no idea how to assign shirts to children. HALP :(

She needs pants, shoes, and a shirt to be considered clothed.

Yeah. Just make a bunch of clothes, and she'll pick some up sooner or later. I have a full time fashionista at my fort.

someones not reading the release posts in the anouncement forum - or the changelog in the df folder

I read the Dwarf Wiki, someone should change the clothing article.

Anyways the child just killed one of my farmer, i assume she was being molested and snapped.

All you need, even for a very huge fortress, is a single clothing workshop on repeat, plus a single farmer workshop on repeat process plants. Then a loom or two. Probably one loom is enough.

I have it on repeat tunic, trousers, shoes, cloak, and hood. You only need tunic, trousers, and shoes to keep dwarves happy, but I do like the additional protection from cloaks and hoods.

Yeah, I made the mistake of waiting till clothes started wearing out before trying to get a clothing industry set up, completely forgetting that some of the children would grow up before then...

Now the little bastards are running around, clogging my announcements and vandalizing fortress property. Except one who went melancholy and just recently died of dehydration, and an ecstatic little girl who went fell mood and turned my militia captain's wife into a dwarf bone weapon rack.

I'm not a violent person, but I am considering electing a Hammerer just so I can watch their little skulls get caved in.
