Original topic:

"Hey guys,

On one boring day at the office, I was browing the net and found a game, that was basically similar to World of Tanks, but set in the future and allowed far more customisations on your futuristic tank, e.g. you could have one long-barelled gauss canon vs quad-barelled rapid-firing guns. From memory, the game was still in development (not sure if it had gone into beta) and already had screenshots of the customisation screen. This was about 3 weeks ago and I did not take (mental) note of the game name.

Til this day I have had no success finding the name of the game. I am wondering if you guys, by any chance, know about such game?"

EDIT: Found it! It's End of Nations, which apparently is not MMOFPS but MMORPG! I am unable to delete the topic and the game itself seems awesome, developed by ex-developers of C&C. It's launching in June 2012 but even before the launch it has had its own video blog on YouTube and currently it is accepting beta sign ups. So...... I decided to change the topic to discuss about the game.

This is the screenie of the sexy Archimedes tank:

I'm very interested in this. The 56-player part of it sounds like a lot of fun, thought the gameplay videos I've seen haven't been all that impressive. I'll certainly be trying it out once they let nobodies like me in.

The comp-stomp side made me think of my old days at LANs. We'd play Red Alert, C&C, Total Annihilation ... and since our skill levels were so different, we'd often set up big human vs AI matches so that everyone could have fun. I miss that.

I'm not sure what I think about the game. I was hoping it'd be a sequel of sorts to Shattered Galaxy, but I'm not sure if it's going to pan out like that or not.

Yah, it sounds like minecraft with content, you have obviously missed the point, people dont like content, they like different coloured blocks.
Seems to work fine with my copy. As soon as I loaded the human caravan came by and the world burst into fire.

After watching the gameplay videos and browsing their forum, to be frank, apart from being able to customise and upgrade your army, this game seems to be overly simplified.

Wargames: European Escalation, while not free and lack global map feature, is still the best one in the market right now.
