I think all platforms were experincing it. And yes its save corruption.  For the record it is a PC.

Dunno if it's this issue in particular (can't remember if it got patched), but one issue meant you had to turn off autosave and never quicksave or it'd eventually get corrupt and crash.

Ah okay. Well Mr. Palau, my suggestion to you is to grab New vegas Script extender. if you don't already have it. Then I would suggest you get yourself a copy of CASM

It can be configured to autosave for you and keep multiple profiles worth of saves. STOP using the inbuilt auto saves and quicksaves and use this. It might not remove all the crashes, but it will make them far less common in the long run. Also if you have more than 2GB of ram get the NVSE 4GB loader, it makes your game large address aware and generally will improve performance if you have more than 2GB of ram.

I quicksaved like every 5 seconds on that game and never got any save corruption.

Save corruption can manifest as more frequent crashes as data gets mixed up in the file. Not always just failure to load.

I don't remember many crashes either, and Steam says I have ~121 hours played. Maybe I got lucky?

I used CASM out the gate after the mess of FO3, didn't have too many real troubles. ESPECIALLY not as bad as most people seem to let on. Definitely try CASM and unbind the quicksave button though. I also seem to remember hearing "if you have troubles with saves, exit to menu before loading a previous save" though that's probably old news by now.
