You Are A Robot: Yet Another Suggestion Game
« on: June 16, 2012, 04:50:09 pm »

You awaken. It seems your routine maintenance check took a bit longer than you thought it would. You initiate a visual scan to find your maintenance officer, but it seems they are not around, having left you in your storage room with your deactivated comrades. While you register a thick layer of dust covering everything, you are more concerned with the fact that large portions of your database have become corrupted. While most of it is beyond salvaging, you begin repairing what you can...

Designation: BFG-42E-3 'Urist McFixer'

Design: The BFG-42E is a bipedal engineering robot designed to adapt, taking parts from other robots to supplement itself. It was designed to be roughly humanoid in shape, but with a simple iron face with a curtain-like iron beard that holds it's tools of the trade. It's short enough that workers wouldn't mistake one of them for another person in the tunnels. When calling them simply say the word Urist and their eyes light up for a moment, saying their specific name after will designate just one of them to a task.

Purpose: Engineering. Even if the ship is shut down and under attack these little guys are designed to improvise and even take up arms to get the ship running again. Thankfully the programming restricts such actions until approved by the respective owners of the ship. If data is corrupted please dispose of the unit's memory core rather than risk losing control over the unit.

We Madmen are very ingenious.  Sometimes it just takes just a little less sanity to pull off something completely awesome.
