(Sorry for the delay in getting this kicked off. Should start moving now.)
Friday, May 23rd:You begin your search of the room at the checkout desk. The register is sadly empty, but your search of the drawers yields fruit in the form of what appears to be a bottle of homemade booze. Although you are too young to be served at a bar, you do know that hard liquor can be used by dungeoneers to restore health and power, so you stash the bottle on your utility belt so that you may use it in a pinch.
Next you spend some time organizing and taking inventory of the shelves...
After consolidating all the geeky items onto two shelves, you come up with the following list of potential loot. You don't collect any of it, because it is already in the building you plan on making into your home base, and because you don't need junk, even if its cool junk, clogging up your valuable character sheet slots.
Potential Loot So Far:
Room 1:
x1 Copy of TWoOtA: Theorycraft and Fandom Guide [Red Book] A book used by people attempting to make heads or tails out of The Warrens of Oric the Awesome, a long running and highly popular comic series.
x1 Copy of The Crypts and Kobolds Alchemy Splatbook [Light Blue Book] A book that lists a bunch of potions and poisons, and some related items and abilities, to be used in a popular TTRPG System.
x1 Copy of Shotgun Soul Sisters [Green Book] A graphic novel about an American Tourist and Local Schoolgirl attempting to survive the zombie Apocalypse in Tokyo.
x1 Copy of Executive 40+: Return of the Nazis [Dark Blue Book] A story arc from a long running comic series in which all the American Presidents attend the same high school and have superpowers, published in hardcover form.
x1 Copy of Abductors [Yellow Book] The rulebook for a lighthearted Indie RPG in which the players maintain a flying saucer and experiment on earthlings.
x1 Copy of T&A: Templars and Assassins Greatest Conspiracies Splatbook [Purple Book] A book that lists the stats on everything from Lee Harvey Oswald's rifle to the several men who may or may not have written the works off William Shakespeare.
x3 Chewy the Demon Action Figures [Little Green Monsters] You recognize these as depicting a villain on a classic 90's cartoon, but know little about their value as collectibles.
x2 Molly Mayflower Action Figures [Cheerleaders in Boxes] You don't recognize these at all, but seeing as the box describes them as both 'first edition' and 'anatomically correct', you get the feeling that they may be worth something to someone.
Your next move is to check out the strange red object near the bodypillows, as you get the distinct feeling that strange red objects may be bad news. Upon closer inspection, it appears to be a rubber demon mask, likely designed for use in some sort of live action roleplay game.
Deciding to move it to the shelf with the rest of the loot, you pick the LARP mask up, but the very instant your skin makes contact with it, the mask begins to glow ominously! You panic, and kick the headgear a short distance!
The mask flies in an arc, but stops abruptly about three feet off the ground and just floats there. The other identical mask, that was in with the boxes, begins to levitate as well. Suddenly dice, pogs, minis, and tiny paint containers erupt from cracks in the floor and shelves, and fly towards the masks. The geeky debris begins to form bodies beneath the masks, and you watch on in awe and mild fear until two small RPGolems take shape and begin to lurch towards you.
You draw your sword. You doubt either golem on your own is any sort of significant threat, but it may be best not to let them mob you.
From here you can access the employee break room and the storage room, but it may be unwise to explore new rooms while being pursued by baddies, lest you find yourself trapped between two groups of hostiles. You can also leave the dungeon, but there is plenty to explore and do here before moving along! So what do you do?
