Alert: Due to changes described in one of the General board threads—I think the sad one—it is in my displeasure to inform you that Trail's End will, indeed, meet its premature and involuntary end in one to two weeks, instead of the four or five originally thought to be.

...It was good while it lasted. :'(

So we aren't staying up until 2 in the morning for D&D after the move? Because I totally would if it means we can keep going.

On another note is there a session today?

I can't tell right now. You could say that to get As in Korea you must be in the state of a college student with finals for the three years of college >.>
Between all the hakwons and schooling, I doubt my mom will let me take four hours out of my time to play idle childrens' games, nevermind the fact that D&D is serious business :P
Another oft repeated mantra is 'You can do X in college' whatever X is >.>

And no to the second one: I was kidnapped on a business trip to get the most stupid of all legal documents I have seen, an apostille. It's just a shiny golden sticker of approval, no storage of documents in servers, no watermarks, no checking of legality. $15 a pop, no idea why Korea loves apostilles so much.

Just to ask, are we meeting one last time tonight? :P

Not sure if we'll play really, but it'd be nice to discuss the future.

I didn't think so. I guess this is pretty much it, then.

Well, that sucks. Even though I joined pretty late, the campaign was fun and I had a great time. Too bad it has to end on like this.

We'll just say that Ikkeeliou killed everyone. :P

It would be nice if you stuck around Bay 12 Sky, even if you don't have time to run a campaign. You're going to need a break from studying eventually.

Perhaps...

I had fun too :)

I probably will, but I'll be in Tiruin's timezone <.< No-where to go, no-one to talk to, no-one to say hallo to D:

Well... if I stay on Bay12 for two years, and still like D&D after two years, and manage to get into an American college, and you all stick around for two years, and also still like D&D, and maybe if D&D 5 or 5.5 or whatever is good enough, or if D&D 3.5 still has its merits, we could maybe play again.

So many ifs. D:

Let's not and just do individual character epilogues, under the assumption we completed the quest and stopped Ragnarok. :P

RAE took the last name Blackstone and went home with Tali and Kald. Despite initial prejudices from the dwarves, she won their respect through her prowess and eventually settled into life with Tali, teaching the young dwarven warriors the ways of the Kethavel and aiding them in their neverending battles against the creatures of the deep.

TOMAN did his best to be a father and a guardian to Lyliss. When she was fully grown and ready to head out on her own, he disappeared. Every now and then there were stories of a large black knight with golden reptilian wings from different parts of the world. After several centuries, he seemed to vanish entirely, but his legend lived on, and many followers of St. Cuthbert began to wear black armor in recognition of this champion of their God.

ANYA became rather infamous in gambling circles for her uncanny luck. Eventually she bought an estate in an unpopulated portion of Ula and a small town grew around it. It became known as both a refuge for those willing to risk it all on a roll of the dice and a place of arcane study. She never married, and although there were stories of a certain black knight visiting her often, they were never known as anything more than rumor.

DRAKE... well... even less is known of what became of him than his brother. Some speculated that he went home and became a scholar; others theorized he became a hero in the Magitech War. Whichever is the truth, his fate was lost to history, but the bow he once carried created a legend of its own, and was seen on battlefields for hundreds of years. Oddly, it seemed to disappear at the same time the stories of the black knight did...

Go epilogues!

Notice the difference between mine and Sercs. His is succinct. Mine are overblown and epical. :P

RIAWILDE gave her all in the war to save the world, reaching untold heights of power. She became one of the greatest and most respected Spirit Shaman's her people have ever produced...but with power, came sacrifice. As the years went by, she became less and less the person she had been, and more a force of nature. Merciless and cruel-tempermental and unpredictable. She lived long as one of the Fey, never aging, never dying-watching those she loved slip away one by one.

Even today, there is an ancient thing that still protects the forests and Spirits of the places the Elves once inhabited...and her grief and wrath are a terrible thing to endure. Occasionally, one may hear her lament on the wind.

She calls for her family to come home to her. No one who answers has lived.
--
BAEL and his trusted hound Jhondryr never really stopped fighting. There was always another foe-Orcs, Undead, Humans. He was never quite able to curb the bloodlust within him, though Riawilde tried her best to temper it... He lived to a long and venerable age, a timeless champion of the tribe.

He was last seen staring into the brush alongside his youngest hound-Jhondryrs ancestor by many dozens of generations-having sighted the most beautiful Stag anyone had ever seen, one which he forbade the others to hunt-this one was his, and his alone. An ancient compact they had made, long put off...but now, the price was paid. Bael kissed Riawilde one last time, then ran off in pursuit-his lovers cries echoing in the empty forest long, long after.

He was never seen again...but Jhondryrs pup limped back to the village a few days later, injured but alive. She bore the scars of a terrific battle, but as for the outcome, only she and the Gods know.
--
KALD Blackstone found a measure of peace, fighting alongside his daughter and her lover in the Deep Wars-he became his Raes defender against his fellow Dwarves misaimed beliefs-and, against tradition, had her named as his own 'Dottir'-blood of his blood. In time, he forgave Tali-and she forgave him. No more needs to be said.

They fought long and hard against the menaces of the Greenskins alongside them, leading Dwarves time and time again to victory against overwhelming odds.

To his surprise, he actually survived the war. Kald Blackstone hung his axe over the fortress gates-vowing his days of drawing blood were done-unless his foes dared threatened his home once more. To Kalds credit, not a one dared during his long life. He remarried-a rarity at such an advanced age-forgiving and letting go of his past. He died peacefully in his bed, and the weapon, and the promise it held, still remained over the gates.

They say, throughout his fortresses long history, when the gates are breached, the weapon will vanish from it's resting place...and a terrifying spectral slayer will stalk the halls, driving the enemy back, as he always has.
--
TALI Blackstone had difficulty settling down into a comfortable life. The rigid hierarchy of the Dwarven people she had long left behind still chafed...but in time, with Raes help, she found what she was looking for There was still fights to be had, anyway-a stiff drink to be had-and if the occasional piece of treasure was misplaced, none complained. And now she had a warm hand to hold. Unable to bear naturally, Tali and Rae adopted-becoming Mothers, if you can believe that, to other lost and orphaned children-Dwarves, Human and Elves-teaching them the hard lessons they had learned in her life. And Tali tutored them in a few of her old tricks, for when things got hard.

Tali and Rae became something that of a legend, together. Years after, the pairs good natured bickering could still be heard ringing through the mountains-they were truly inseparable. It was a good life for them, and a long one.

But, like all things, it came to an end. Tali, nearing the end of her natural life, chose not to prolong it with the help of the Winterer-knowing it's poison promise for what it was, she cast it into the Plane of Fire to be guarded by the  Legions of undying Flame, just one of the spiritual armies that she was said to have had a part in creating with her old friends to seal away the legend weapons forever, as best they could.

Tali Blackstone passed away in her lovers arms not long after, finally happy. She told Rae not to be afraid-and not hurry up her life on this Dwarves account, she was fine waiting a bit till they met again.

Her children continued her controversial legacy long after she was gone. They're still picking locks and causing trouble for all sorts of people to this day.

Epilogues? Well, time to reveal some backstory that I never got to reveal in the sessions. Also, I'm no good at this kind of stuff.

DIRGE went back to the monastery he was raised in, and was hailed as a champion of Zarus for his actions. He continued his career as an adventurer afterwards, preaching the word of Zarus to the people wherever he went.

Eventually, he died as a saint of his church, being forever remembered as a prove of the power of humanity.

BRYCE decided that he wasn't cut out for adventuring, and settled down. He later went on to become a teacher of summonings and conjurations at an expensive wizarding school. Over time, he managed to grow less distant to people, getting used to talking to his students. He later would be remembered as one of the most charismatic teachers the school had ever had.

Because of the time he spent teaching schoolars, his name would later be associated with the Vital Pact and malconvokers everywhere.

OWLEN traveled into the mountainhomes with Kald, eager to continue fighting for his own amusement. It is unknown whether or not he went on this journey together with Ikkeeliou, and for how long he stayed with the dwarves, but eventually he left. He later managed to join the unseelie court, working as a high-ranking member directly for the Queen.

There still are occasional reports of a silver-haired gnome hunting down and murdering seelie fey.
