Eh, I had a couple 20's dropping into a major river a while back. Fps sucked, lol. Built a 10z scaffold in the canyon to drop below the aquifer, abandoned before I even got a good stone industry going... I don't play under 20 fps ;)

I had a few dorf made waterfalls from a brook, dorfs will still happily throw themselves down them, if surviving crawling around dying with a smile on their face. Followed by another ten dwarves reclaiming the socks or cleaning up the mess until they find they cannot fly any better than the dorf that went before. Nothing pretty is ever safe ;)
