The things that roll in off the edge of the map in evil biomes?  Those are randomly generated, they can do just about anything really.

It's FB "beware its deadly blood" only in atmospheric terms.

Oh eerie glowing mists? Yeah I haven't seen them not affect goblins and humans. Though it does get a bid odd when ambushers are involved.

Well do you know what do they cause? Have any of your dwarves or livestock been caught in it?
