Taverns should be automatically considered meeting places.

Military dwarves can use leather waterskins (and possibly metal flasks, but I've never tried) to carry water around with them. The overall effect isn't very impressive, though, because they seem to have to spend as much time filling up the waterskin as they do having to go drink anyhow.

Drinking does clearly need to be even more central to dwarven life.  Although they don't clean up the blood very efficiently now, so I'm not sure who'd clean up all the green squiggles.

mind you, i'd rather have the pile menu expanded to allow/disallow certain item (and/or just groups of item)

you could then have a generic everything pile to customise

I think that if my idea of containers having a q menu or something would then do something along these lines. What would be nice is if the list was then categorized like this:

code:

Stone
Light Stone
 Marble
 etc
Heavy Stone
etc, etc

And when you're selecting, you can turn off entire categories and sub-categories or just edit the individual things.
