Can you import vanilla worlds into your modded game?

I found an awesome test world with a volcano and lots of gold.

nope, reactions and entity files are set in stone (the [UNDIGGABLE] kind) on world creation, so your mod likely wouldn't affect it

and besides, a volcano with hematite + native aluminum > volcano with native gold (though thats an ideal situation considering the high chance of igneous layers)

If you see a 'Nemonole' on the internet elsewhere, it's probably me

They aren't quite set in stone, but the key thing to remember here is that you have two sets of raws at any given moment. The first set is the one in the raw/objects file, this one determines the raws for any new worlds that are generated. The second set of raws is located in the save folder itself, and carries the raws for that given world. So while you can move around a world, but it's raws stay the same while you do.

It would be brutally difficult and probably won't work. In other words, it's absolutely dwarven!
Cataclysm: Dark Days Ahead - A fun zombie survival rougelike that I'm dev-ing for.

Modded them how?

Removing ANYTHING causes a crash-on-load.
Adding stuff won't crash the game, but it won't appear either.
Changing stuff usually works.
