Restricting civ clothing
« on: April 05, 2012, 12:43:09 pm »

As much as I like the fact that dwarves now care if they're running around naked, its caused a bit of an annoyance. I'd like an option to be able to tell my civs to prefer plant fiber clothing over leather clothing. I tend to kit my military dwarves out in leather clothing under metal armor, but my civs keep running past the lovely stacks of pigtail tunics and trousers to snatch up all my leather stuff. I'd just like an option to tell them to grab the cloth stuff, and if its all out, then help themselves to the leather stuff.

Somehow, that fills me more with dread than anticipation.  It's like being told that someone's exhuming your favorite grandparent and they're going to try to make her into a cyborg stripper.

It could be a feature of work crews. After all, your miners could still use a helmet and your smiths shouldn't pass up a leather apron.
