Need some Candy Help *SPOILER*
« on: April 04, 2012, 04:37:55 pm »

So how do I get to adamantine that is surrounded by magma, other than by tunneling down through it?  Magma casting?  Pump out ALL the magma?  What other options am I missing?

If the candy tube is hollow, and you channel from above, the magma will probably push the candy into the tube, and you can get it from where it lands after casting a wall where it was, so the magma sea stops draining. seems harder than just casting, but its a possibility I guess.

If the vein is thick enough that magma won't seep in from me mining in the middle, that's what I do.  I just come from above and dig down into it through the center.

It's wasteful, but I'm too lazy to make an obsidian caster to get at the rest.  Mind you this was all in .31.25 where a single wafer went a lot further than it does now.

Get some buckets, and begin casting with pong pond designations
