Just a quick question.
« on: April 03, 2012, 10:49:00 pm »

Hey guys, long time lurker.

I finally have achieved something, or rather, recieved the chance to achieve something quite cool in my most recent fort. I have captured a Cave dragon, and that alone would make me happy, however there seems to be a new one spawning every several months. Before 34.07, i would have just un-Pet_exotic-ified itm however with the new update this doesn't seem feasible. So, my question is this:

How do i go about training a cave dragon? My civ has no experience with dragons whatsoever, and because of that it is a daunting task. On my first try, i ordered my highest level trainer to mess around with it, but it ate the dwarf. (For fun i watched it eat the rest of the fort and then scum saved back). Is there an easier way to go about training one, or do i just have to feed it animal trainers until it gives in?

Check for the science thread on taming and training (the one I started).  If you leave the dragon in a cage, it's almost 100% safe.

Hrm, maybe injure it to a degree where it can't eat the Trainer?
