Question Regarding Modding DF To plae Cage traps...

I don't know if there is a dedicated board for this, but I want to place cage traps in a few specific points on my map in order to capture a dragon that comes eventually that either dies by humans, or torches all the traps... I really want it, and I am honestly willing to mod the game in order to take him, even if it costs me the fact I can never use the dragon for my own purposes

Jee wilikers, I think Highmax is near invulnerable, must have been dunked in the river styx like achilles was.
Just make sure he wears a boot.

Interesting, I didn't know that traps could burn.
Your solution is to build more traps. Dragons don't actively attack traps because traps are hidden. Your dragon probably wanted to burn some creature and the trap was in the way. If you build more traps and keep your dwarfs inside, you should be able to catch the dragon.

Or, if you want to be sure, you could build cages and mechanisms out of magma-safe materials and use those for cage traps.

I though everyone knew by now that dragonfire is HOTTER than magma and will pretty much melt/destroy everything.

Yeah, so you really need tame dragons and can't use wild ones with a shutter to only give it LOS when it can only see enemies. It'll simply destroy whatever you were using as "shutter", bridge, floodgate, anything, and you're not going to be able to rebuild.
