Ì just got a badass bone pick from a fey mood, it wouldn't improve mining speed, would it?

No. The only thing that modifies digging speed is skill level and stone type (dirt or stone). The dwarf may be able to move a bit faster since it isn't carrying a heavy pick but a light bone one but I doubt you will be able to see the difference.

Nice artifact though.

Never seen a bonecrafter make a pick before.

While relatively useless (bone is a disappointing edged weapon material), it is badass. Which species was it before it became a mining implement?

Does this solve the mystery of which came first, the pick or the anvil?

Quote from: Chesterton
For, in order that men should resist injustice, something more is necessary than that they should think injustice unpleasant. They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

 >:( Not goblin bone? No matter. Assign it to a miner as a weapon. Kill alpacas and water buffalos until it gets a name.

While the dwarves have their own word for it, its enemies will refer to it as... Alpacabane...
