Slash attacks
« on: March 31, 2012, 07:07:53 pm »

I'm trying to put a weapon into the game but right now I need to figure out how to get a weak slashing attack. One that will, at best, tear muscles. I have been testing but at this point I'd rather just ask.

I think that would mostly be a large contact area and a small weight.

Just give it a low penetration.

If you just give it low penetration, you're recreating the morningstar, which is a very powerful weapon.

Large contact area, low penetration, low weight.

low weight.
Should probably specify "low size" (I made the same small error in my post).  Weight is determined by material, but size is determined by the item type and can be made smaller.  While size changes weight, it's a small nitpick :P
