Nik Pearlday: How does this happen!?

I am a considerably well equipped necromancer, sent on a quest to kill a man called Nik Pearlday in the dungeon of the nearby city. I find Nik, and his introduction goes as such.

"I am Nik Pearlday! Slayer of Nik Pearlday [generic status of death.]. Murderer of Nik Pearlday [another]. Slayer of Nik Pearlday [another.]. Prepare to die!"

Wait.. So Nik Pearlday, killed himself thrice, then decided to hide out in the dungeon of a keep!? How has he slain himself three times!? What!? Also, that man was SKILLED with a crossbow, nearly killing me in one shot, but that's unrelated.

It's happened before, and no one has absolutely any idea how it happens.

Theory 1: Killed historical clone

Theory 2: Killed zombie werebeast clone

Theory 3: Killed self

Had a similar issue when a werebeast had apparently slain himself 6 times...

Theory 4: There is a tiny coding issue with these speeches

(Yes I realize this isn't exactly a fun theory at first glance, until you think up the look on Toady's face when he stumbles across it)

Or... Maybe... He comes from an alternate dimension! On a quest to rid the multiverse of all other versions of himself!

Or he could be, you know, a bug. But that would be way less fun.

A body part is severed and animated and then killed by the owner, perhaps? I don't know whether the NPCs would brag about that kind of kill, however...
