growing up
« on: March 26, 2012, 01:37:16 pm »

- I like the new clothing mechanic, including the unhappy thoughts
- I think it's hilariously wrong how children that grow up almost insta-tantrum, even with enough clothes available.

Proposed fix / addition:

- give newly grown-up dwarves a happy thought that counterbalances the lack of clothes for the first few months:
"... is happy to have reached adulthood"

Alternately, nudity alone shouldn't be powerful enough of a negative thought to force tantrums.

Nah, it should. If I had to stay at home/ go out naked because there was no clothing for me, heads would roll.
The problem is the player needs better control/feedback over how much clothing is available.

Not to mention my soldiers are unhappy over rotting clothing / being naked while the clothing stockpile has lots of clothes for them.

Problem was probably caused by the age where dwarf is expected to be clothed is the same as the age when it is starting to find clothes.
