Can immigrants arrive while you are being sieged?
« on: March 26, 2012, 11:14:31 am »

I have ONE single dwarf left, my mayor. He lies in 7/7 water surrounded by 3 goblins and 2 trolls. They are constantly pounding him and most of his body is broken. He is also drowning.

BUT, this has been going on a whole season now. Is it possible that my fort can be saved by a last minute ditch effort by migrants, setting up a outpost to siege my own fortress and dispel the invaders?

ARGHHH. He died. My fort is no more.

The answer is "no," by the way. Sieges prevent any friendly creatures from appearing off the map edge for as long as the SIEGE markers last.

I don't know about sieges, but they can show up during an invasion, because that happened to me on my first fortress.

Probably an ambush. Or a retreating siege.
