What the F... does a cauldron do ?

Hi,

There are a few tools that i ve found absolutly no use for although they really sound like they do and it s bugging me.
I ve purchased a cauldron in fortress mode and none of my dwarf seems to be using it...
Also meat cleaver, fork...
I ve tried to put them next to my butcher and kitchen with no result.

Can anyone enlighten me ?

Sorry man, those items have no use whatsoever in Fortress mode, and I'm not sure about adventures.

no use at all, just metl them down. Though I think carving forks were actually pretty decent weapons.

Cauldrons are currently only used by night creatures to cook the remains of their victims. Eventually, you'll probably also find them in houses in Human towns and cities.

They are currently like toys: decoration only. Melt them down.
