A glassmaker went berserk because I didn't make a furnance for him.
I heard a berserk dwarf would set off traps so I was not totally worried because there were cage traps everywhere in my fort (actually, I managed to cage one berserker last week).

So I watched. The glassmaker killed his pet goose first, then went outside the room and began killing a dog, then he chased other dwarves out of the entrance, running over countless cage traps without setting off them.

Maybe because he knew they were there? Or didn't forget in his rage..

Was he born at the site? In that case he should be immune to all traps.

Ah, that makes sense.
So I just killed him.
Fortunately, nothing too bad happened after that.

Fortunately, nothing too bad happened after that.

Well, he's back, as a ghost.

I wonder if I can re-bury him, but what I can find are some partial skeketons in the dump area.

by the way, tantrumming dwarfs may pull levers, failed moods either go melancholic or insane in which case they will starve or die of thirst, or go berserk, attacking anything they see. That's great if it's a militairy, mining or woodcutting dwarf.

Couldn't help but notice your stairs.
Should probably put traps in a 3x3 square around it. Not a cross. Remember, monsters and dwarves can move in a straight-diagonal direction, ignoring the traps you've set in straight north/south/east/west directions.

actually, he could dump the one north. Pathfinding would choose the most direct route and that is, for that piece of map, about 95% chance to be a straight line, but there is nothing on the north side to bother about.
