Making Slade diggable and usable for weapons?
« on: March 23, 2012, 05:31:21 pm »

Yeah, I'm a COMPLETE newb at any sort of Raw editing and stuff like that, to the point where I'm not even sure if this should go into modding or gameplay discussion.

I've heard how insanely effective Slade can be for blunt weapons, and I'm wondering where exactly I'd find the tags I need to remove/change (undiggable for Slade right? Not sure how to make it a weapons grade material...), if this is something that can be done without advanced raw changes/modding.

But the sad truth charlie?
It was inevitable.

This is a modding question, and so should probably go into the modding subforum.

Removing the UNDIGGABLE tag from slade should make it possible to dig through it, and thus acquire slade stones. Making weapons out of it is more difficult, however; you could give it a MAX_EDGE of 20000 and make stone short swords with it, similar to obsidian, but as those are edged weapons that wouldn't really take advantage of the high density. Since it's not a metal, you can't just forge warhammers out of it. You could make a custom reaction to take a slade stone and make a slade hammer, though.
