Pictures of Dwarfitude

A militia captain, crossbow slung over her back, covered in beast ichor, baby in one hand, the beast's dripping corpse in the other. Standing by her, her husband, a melee militia captain of another squad, carrying nothing. Next to them, their older kid who somehow managed to avoid the beast's hunger for warm blood. Ah, nothing like family time in dwarf fortress.

I always envisaged family time in Dwarf Fortress to be several hundred hobbling Dwarfs punching each other's skulls in over the death of the matriarch who used them all as shields when they were young
