The dorfy thing to do is learn to farm diamond titans and gradually chisel off what your crafter needs. Bonus points if it has some form of regeneration.

Angry, hostile food which is far too big for one person to eat at one sitting. Whether that's good or not depends on your tastes.

Ah, that beautiful moment when my Dwarfs butcher a salt Titan.

Do you want food with your salt?

that would be interesting though, yet annoying

appears in cavern
dissolves into underground water source
un-usable without distalation

On another fort, I got cocky :/ I found out the hard way that pewter is NOT soft, it is a hard metal. I thought it was more like a sand like material. Well, a couple of my dwarves had some fun experienced this first hand. :/

If it had poisonous blood, you have already lost.

I don't get why people always groan about syndromes, they really are quite nice :P
I had one forgotten beast with poisonous blood that happily exploded into gore at the first sign of my militia. 20-odd dwarfs had their skin slowly peeling off, until they washed themselves. Shortly after, anyone who went anywhere near the well found their feet mysteriously rotting away...
