Sewers and drowned rats
« on: March 15, 2012, 10:53:35 pm »

I have a quest to go kill a vamp living in the sewers under the city. The sewers are called the Strifeful Hell. I found the sewer acsess go down there and there are tunnels with water chanels in the middle, BUT the tunnels only go a short way in any direction before ending. Where the tunnels end the water chanels keep going. My walking meat shields have all drowned themselves for some reason and there's no vamp anywhere I can see. The tunnels have some animal men bodies lying around and I figure that these must be the vamp's victims. So my question is this if I wait around long enough will the vamp wander into the tunnels or do I have to go swiming down long claustraphobic pipes (and probably drown before finding more air)?

he is probably in the catacombs, under the keep, they are "part" of the sewer, even if there is no physical connection between them sometimes

I found a vampire living right in the sewers itself. (Same situation, lots of dead animal men, then a couple of living animal men, then in one side branch suddenly the vampire).

I don't think this is the case. If a keep or catacombs (note they are different things) intersects a sewer you'll see the name of the site (lower left of your screen) change. Note that sometimes the sewers of a town aren't connected so you may need to go back to the surface and find another sewer access.

It's my guess the Vampire you seek is in a part of the sewers you can't access (because you'll drown). I have a whole page of quests I can't complete because the Vampires and Amphibianpeople are all underwater in a sunken sewer.

Just move on, get more quests, maybe find a city with a dry sewer.

The solution is obvious. You must become a vamp yourself.

There is a bug where vampires are stuck in walls at the sewers.

Dungeon. Catacombs. Sewer. Three different things (under keep / temple / town respectively).

As for the query: yes, if it's a fully wet sewer, you'll have great difficulty entering, unless you don't need to breathe...
