There's a Tribes remake in open beta, with a thread here. Between Tribes: Ascend and Planetside 2012 is looking surprisingly good for multiplayer shooters.

Yeah, Planetside 1 was heavily inspired by Tribes, and T:A is really really good, I cannot wait for PS2. Did you see the size of the galaxy?! It was like a frikken boeing 747!
