Basically I have a great embark location that I want to use again for a future game, so can you use the seed to copy the landmass? How complicated would that be? I'm not really that interested in history, but if I could copy that too somehow I'd be more happy.

The world will be the same, but the history and civilisations will be different. I don't know by how much.

Question (I am really new to this) where would I find the existing world gen parameters for the world I am currently playing?

Hrm... I followed the directions on the website and I got an error of "too many rejections" I went ahead and chose the option to go ahead anyways even if I could only play legends mode and the world looked different than the the one I was used to.

Worldgen information from 0.31 isn't useful in 0.34 because of all the new things that have been added - most notably, worldgen seeds are now text instead of numbers.

P.S. If you don't get this note, let me know and I'll write you another.
It's amazing how dwarves can make a stack of bones completely waterproof and magmaproof.
It's amazing how they can make an entire floodgate out of the bones of 2 cats.
