Yesterday I finally gave in to the incessant DF references on rpg.net and installed it.  If not for the wiki, I would've confronted the opacity of the interface, said "later for that" and been none the worse for wear.  Instead, thanks to the wiki's newbie guide, I was up all friggin' night and did exactly none of the work I brought home with me, and am presently surviving entirely on coffee and Monster Khaos energy drinks.

So, yeah.  Good work.

If it wasn't for the Wiki I wouldn't of spent that year in college.

Yeah, the God damned Wiki, Dwarf Fortress, and my own spiritual weakness together  are responsible for about 50 hours of lost productivity. I enjoyed every minute of that, completely free of worries and concentrating only on my dwarves, though.

You're a noob, you need to get back in there.  For a while I was playing all day, every day, for like two weeks.  I've lowered my DF intake, but it's still there, taunting me.  I'll probably start again this weekend, once I don't have to worry about school.

Turns out there's a free weekend of Team Fortress 2, so I guess it'll have to wait till next weekend.
