Save Files between Mac & PC

A quick question for you: Are save files compatible between mac and PC?

I see no reason why they wouldn't.

Your map saves should be crammed full of .dat files.

There are many reasons why they wouldn't.  But Toady put a lot of effort into making them be compatible, so it should be fine.

They are. I use my Mac for playing and an emulator with Win XP to use prospector when i start a new fortress, both on the same machine with the same data  :)

As soon as the PPC Mac version was released, I moved my game from WinXP at work to crappy old iBook at home, no problems
