modding nervous tissue to heal
« on: February 29, 2012, 06:18:33 pm »

My adventurer took nervous tissue damage in her right hand and can no longer grasp with it. So I went into the saved regions raws and added the [HEALING_RATE:100] token to the tissue template under nervous tissue, but she still won't heal. Does it not work on wounds received before the modification is made?

Nervous tissues won't heal, even if you give them a healing rate, because they're considered "severed" when damaged, the same way a severed limb or hand is. Your best bet would be getting bitten by a werebeast, as that will completely heal you upon your transformation.

I am often bad at phrasing things - don't hesitate to ask for clarification if something I said doesn't make sense.

Only workaround would be to make a tissue layer called "nerves" that is under the muscle layer. But you would have to do some editting of limbs and whatnot so the damaged nerve tissue acaully cripples the limb (until healed)
