It's late winter in my fortress's first year, but no immigrants have come yet. The traders and Liaison have left without a hitch in autumn. I have lots of food and space in my fortress. Is this normal?
  Is a first year immigration guaranteed, and i just missed out on it due to a bug or something?
  Will there be immigrations later?

Normally they come in the second year.  I got nothing my first year but got a max immigration wave in my second year, which tells me it probably wasn't delayed because of no productivity  .

I once got an immigration in, like, late spring or early summer, I think. I'm sure it was during the warm seasons of the first year.

In my current fort, in the first year I got summer & fall immigrations.

Must be some sort of randomness to it then -- which is good.
